Technical Analysis at Signl
Signl's Breakout signals are powered by AI-driven technical analysis that goes beyond simple indicator alerts. Here's how it works.
Chart-First Philosophy
Like professional traders, Signl reads the chart first — before looking at any fundamental data or catalyst. The chart tells you what the market is actually doing, not what it should be doing.
Our AI analyzes actual price charts across multiple timeframes to identify:
- Key support and resistance levels — where buyers and sellers have fought before
- Chart patterns — breakouts, flags, cups, and consolidation setups
- Trend structure — higher highs/higher lows vs breakdown patterns
- Volume confirmation — is the move backed by real participation?
Multi-Timeframe Scoring
A breakout on the 5-minute chart means nothing if the daily chart is in a downtrend. Signl scores each ticker across three timeframes:
- Daily — The primary trend. Weighted heaviest.
- 4-Hour — Intermediate structure and momentum.
- 1-Hour — Near-term setup quality and entry timing.
The final confidence score reflects agreement across all timeframes. When all three align, conviction is highest.
Momentum Screening
Beyond chart reading, Signl also screens for technical momentum signals:
- Unusual volume surges — stocks suddenly trading 3-5x their average volume
- Moving average crossovers — when short-term MAs cross above long-term MAs
- Relative strength — stocks outperforming their sector and the broader market
- Volatility compression — tight consolidation that often precedes explosive moves
💡 Why AI? A human analyst can review 10-20 charts per hour. Our AI analyzes hundreds of setups across multiple timeframes simultaneously, catching breakouts that human screeners miss.
From Breakout to Convergence
The real magic happens when a Breakout signal (technical) aligns with a Smart Money signal (institutional flow) on the same ticker. This Convergence signal means:
- The chart setup is strong (breakout pattern confirmed)
- Institutions are also positioning (dark pool + options flow)
- Two independent data sources agree — highest conviction
